What is the TTT Project?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Kildare Libraries TTT programme is designed to offer support to our neurodiverse community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toys and Assistive Equipment Catalogue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in Athy, Leixlip, and Naas Libraries, a specialised collection of toys and assistive equipment is available which can be accessed free of charge in branches throughout the county and can be borrowed or utilised by joining up at any Kildare library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collection includes items that can help with developing gross motor skills, fine motor skills, play and life skills, speech, language and social skills. It also includes a range of sensory items, which offer a variety of different sensory and tactile stimulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to borrow from this collection, you will need to register for a TTT library card, which is separate from your regular library account and can only be used for items from the TTT collection. Membership is free to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Kildare. To register for a TTT account, users will need a letter of referral from an occupational therapist, medical practitioner, resource teacher, or other professional working with them. Teachers or special needs assistants must supply a referral letter from their school principal to borrow on behalf of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Talks and Workshops<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TTT programme also hosts a series of free talks and workshops, delivered by qualified professionals. These events offer further guidance, support, and networking opportunities for parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timetable of talks and workshops is posted on the Kildare Libraries website<\/strong><\/a> in the Spring and Autumn, however the best way to keep up-to-date on the latest events is to register for our email newsletter<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
