Because Muslim girls aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t lesbians. Nishat doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to hide who she is, but she also doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to lose her relationship with her family. And her life only gets harder once a childhood friend walks back into her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fl\u00c3\u00a1via is beautiful and charismatic and Nishat falls for her instantly. But when a school competition invites students to create their own businesses, both Fl\u00c3\u00a1via and Nishat choose to do henna, even though Fl\u00c3\u00a1via is appropriating Nishat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s culture. Amidst sabotage and school stress, their lives get more tangled\u00e2\u20ac\u201dbut Nishat can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t quite get rid of her crush on Fl\u00c3\u00a1via, and realizes there might be more to her than she realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are so excited to talk to Adiba about her new book, becoming an author, and her love of reading.
