Find out why some pharaohs wore false beards and made revolting recipes for 3,000 year old sweets. History has never been so horrible!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the books in the Horrible Histories series focuses on a specific time in history. The Awesome Egyptians <\/strong>is full of facts about Egyptian life, their gods, their customs and their pyramids. Find out how the pyramids were built, whether or not the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153curse of Tutankhamun\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is true, and what life was like for a peasant in Egypt. If history sometimes comes across as dry and boring, this book and the rest of the series is the complete opposite of that.  I loved this series of books when I was younger, and I have read almost all of them. They came in handy for school projects \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and there is another interesting book in the series about the Egyptians, called The Awful Egyptians<\/strong>. This book is suitable for children aged 8 and over. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
