The novel revolves around Belly as she attempts to shake off the little kid image Conrad and Jeremiah have built, and become the pretty woman they’ll finally notice. It’s all about this summer, and working on her confidence as well as attempting to navigate life with a heart that yearns for Conrad to notice her, as well as the heartbreak of a family member suffering from cancer. This novel also talks about and deals with issues of drug and alcohol abuse.

This is a slower-paced novel, dealing with some real-life issues that many face today. Recently the novel was picked up by Prime Video and made into a television series.

If you like the sound of this book, place a request on it on our Library Catalogue.
