Mr. Bill Dunphy, a native of Athy, died in England, last week, at the age of 83 years. He served with the Dublin Fusiliers in the Boer War. Later he was a postman in Athy for thirty years until he retired on pension. For some years afterwards he was caretaker of Athy Courthouse. He went to England over five years ago. Mr. Michael Dunphy, Bleach, Athy, is a  son.
