Celbridge Union

THE GUARDIANS of this union, at a meeting of the Burial Board, to be held on the 26th day of APRIL, 1871, will receive and consider Tenders for:

ENCLOSING THE FOLLOWING GRAVEYARDS: –

LOUGHTOWN                  Electoral Division of  Newcastle.

KILBRIDE                                          Do.                           Saggart.

CONFEY                                              Do.                           Leixlip.

BARREEN                                          Do.                           Balraheen.

CLONSHAMBOE                            Do.                                 Do.

ADERRIG                                           Do.                           Lucan.

CLONCURRY                                   Do.                           Cloncurry.

MAINHAM                                        Do.                           Balraheen.

With either Sunk Fences faced with Stone and Mortar, six feet in height, or an eighteen inch stone wall, same height, including Scotch or proper Coping, as they deem advisable, with suitable Entrance Gates of Iron, hung from Stone Piers of proper dimensions: the whole to be executed in a permanent and workmanlike manner.

Parties tendering will please estimate for each description of Fence separately, and also state the period required for the completion of the work.

The Guardians do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any of the Tenders, which will be received by me up to Twelve o’clock on the above date.

Security will be required for the due performance of the Contract and the Guardians reserve the right of inspecting the work, by themselves or their officers, during its progress, and the materials in use thereat.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.

Notice is herby Given to the Owners of the Burial Grounds hereinafter-named, that the Guardians of the Poor of the Union of Celbridge, acting as the Burial Board of said Union, require them to properly FENCE and put, the same into DECENT ORDER, within Six Calendar Months from the date hereof; and that if such Notice be not complied with within the time specified, the said Guardians, acting as the Burial Board, under the afore-mentioned Acts, will proceed to Fence such Burial Grounds and to put the same into Decent Order.

 The following are the Burial Grounds referred to, viz.: –

    SAGGART, in the Electoral Division of Saggart.

    COWANSTOWN, in the Electoral Division of Straffan.
