Curragh Irish Derby Material In Kildare Local Studies Collections

The modern Irish Derby has been run at the Curragh since 1866. Kildare Local Studies collections has a large number of items in our collections, relating to the Irish Derby and Curragh racecourse. These include publications on the history of the Irish Derby, race programmes, Derby Festival programmes and photographs and illustrations. They help tell the story of the famous race, the Curragh racecourse and surrounding district over the past one hundred and fifty years.
