DEATH OF MR. LOFTUS HAYDEN
Kildare Observer 10 April 1919
Death of Mr. Loftus Hayden
We much regret to chronicle the death of Mr. Loftus Hayden, who had been a very prominent figure in commercial life in Naas a few years back – in fact, it was said of him he controlled more licensed premises than any other merchant in Co. Kildare. Despite this he found time to occupy a seat on the Naas Urban Council, of which he was a very useful and active member for some years. Mr. Hayden had been in ill-health for a considerable time, and passed away at his residence, Poplar Square, Naas, on Friday last. The funeral took place to the New Cemetery on Sunday and was very largely attended.
