Deputy’s father dead
The death has taken place at his residence, Main St., Celbridge, of Mr. Patrick Boylan. Aged 86, he had been ill for a short time. He was father of Mr. terry Boylan, T.D., Co. C., Celbridge, and is also survived by his daughters, Mary and Kitty, Celbridge, and grandchildren, Turlough, Gabriel and Katherine.
Native of Enniskeen, Co. Louth, he trained as a teacher and taught in Kilkeel, Co. Down, before coming to Celbridge in 1919 where he took up farming. He was a very popular figure with all sections of the community and took a keen interest in the National Movement.
