FAMOUS WAR FIGURE SETS UP HOME HERE
Col. Otto Skorzeny, the famous german commando leader of the last war who effected the dramatic release of Mussolini from the mountain fortress in which he was kept prisoner, was at the auction [at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin]. He told a reporter he had taken up residence in Martinstown House, Curragh, with his wife.
He said he did not intend to adopt irish citizenship, but would travel frequently between this country and Spain where he imports and exports steel products. He purchased a quantity of plywood at the auction.
