John L. Fleming

Mr. John L. Fleming, The Swan, Athy, who has died, aged 66, was a director and secretary of Flemings’ Fireclays Ltd., The Swan.

Mr. Fleming took part in the fight for Independence and was a member of the North Kildare [Kilkenny] Brigade Old I.R.A.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret and ten children; three sisters, Sr. Laserian, St. Gerard’s Hospital, Birmingham; Mrs. Madeline Schwartz, Holywell, Wales; and Mrs. Sheila Finn, Sutton, Co. Dublin; and by two brothers, Messrs. Michael and John Fleming.
