HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Sergeant Maureen Glennon aged 25, of the Women\u2019s Royal Air Force, whose home town is Kilcullen, is one of the first serving airwomen in the history of the R.A.F. to be given aircrew category. Maureen is seen here receiving her Air Quartermaster\u2019s brevet from the Director of the Woman\u2019s Royal Air Force, Air Commander Dame Anne Stephens, D.B.E., and A.D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Maureen, who was a telephone supervisor before joining the service in 1954, was made an Air Quartermaster in 1960. She is keen on sports and is a member of the W.R.A.F. hockey team, she has attended many thousands of passengers during flights in R.A.F.
