Mr. Buckley\u2019s method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The appointment of Mr. Buckley as Governor-General has a special interest for the Irish-speaking people of Ring, Co. Waterford. He was a member of the Committee of Management of Ring Irish College 20 years ago. He took with him to his business place at Maynooth three Irish-speaking boys from Ring to whom Mr. Buckley and his children never spoke any language but Irish.<\/p>\n<p>When these boys had completed their apprenticeship he helped them to set up in business for themselves and took other Irish-speaking boys from Ring.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irish Independent 29 November 1932 Learning Irish.
