HOSIE, ATHY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Kildare Observer<\/em> 26 April 1919<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>War Notes\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Captain H. G. Hosie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The name of Captain H. G. Hosie, R.A.S.C., was recently forwarded to the Secretary of State for War for valuable services rendered in connection with the war while under the Department of the Quartermaster-General. Captain Hosie is the elder son of Mr. Henry Hosie, Coursetown House, Athy, and was one of the first to obtain a commission on the outbreak of war. Captain Hosie had over two years service abroad \u2013 first on the Western front, from October, 1914, and afterwards in Salonika, being invalided from the latter front in the end of 1916.
