O\u2019Connor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The funeral of Mr. James O\u2019Connor, a veteran of the Republican movement, whose death occurred on Sunday last at his residence, Mellin Hill, Kilcullen, Co. Kildare, took place to-day to Glasnevin Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. O\u2019Connor was obliged, when a young man, to leave the country owing to his Republican activities, and spent some years in America.\u00a0 On his return to Dublin he acted as centre of Thomas Clarke Luby Circle of the I.R.B.\u00a0 He was also a member of the \u201998 Centenary Committee and the Amnesty Association. He was well-known in commercial circles in the city, and was formerly connected with the firm of Messrs. Keogh, Bacon Curers, Francis Street.\u00a0 For the past few years he had been residing in Kildare.<\/p>\n<p>Requiem Mass at Catholic Church, Two Mile House, Kilcullen, was celebrated by Very Rev. Laurence Brophy, P.P., V.F., and Rev. Thomas Ryan, B.A., C.C., Droichead Nua, officiated at the graveside.\u00a0 The coffin was draped in the Tri-colour. The chief mourners were: Miss Mary O\u2019Connor (sister); Miss Margaret McDermott and Miss Kathleen McDermott.<\/p>\n<p>The attendance included \u2013 Senator M. Conlon, Mr. Denis P. Seery, Mr. J. White (Clara), Mr. Sean Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Berne, Mrs. Caulfield, Mrs. Kenny, Mr. and Mrs. Michael O\u2019Connell, Mr. Edward Flanagan, Mr. J. J. Byrne, Mr. Michael Byrne, Mr. M. Costigan, Mr. Sean Farrelly, Mr. Chris Murphy, Mr. Thos. Orford, Mr. Tim Orford, Mr. R. T. Daly, Mr. R. P. Barrett, Mr. Peadar Kearney, Mr. Thos. Berney, Mr. Jas. Kelly, Mr. Thos.
