PATRICK DOYLE, J.P.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although by no means unexpected, the announcement of the death of Mr. Patrick Doyle, J.P., Chair of Kildare, was learned with regret by a large circle of friends.\u00a0 Deceased was well-known in sporting circles, and enjoyed a large measure of success as a breeder and owner of racehorses.\u00a0 It will be remembered that a few years back Chairman, which carried his colours, put in a unique performance at Punchestown by winning the Tradesman\u2019s Plate, and being pulled out later in the day, he captured the Drogheda Stakes.\u00a0 The late Mr. Doyle was also a patron of coursing, Musical Lady and other greyhounds filling his nomination at Monasterevan Meetings.\u00a0 The funeral took place on Sunday last, and was very largely attended, testifying to the esteem in which the deceased gentleman was held.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kildare Observer\u00a031 December 1904 DEATH OF MR.
