MARTIN LINNANE, JOURNALIST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>The Leinster Leader<\/em> 8 July 1961<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Journalist Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Martin Linnane, who died at his residence, Old Finglas Road, Dublin, was over 50 years in journalism. A former Chief Reporter of the Irish Independent, the staff of which newspaper he joined from the Leinster Leader, he covered many historical events, including the Treaty negotiations in London and the Paris Peace Conference. He was a personal friend of the late Ml Collins, of President de Vallera and many of the 1916 leaders.
