Harrison\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lt.-Col. Harrison, who died at his residence, Johnston, Naas, after a protracted illness was a relative of Capt. Henry Harrison, the well-known writer and nationalist. During the Great War, 1914-18, he served with distinction in France and Gallipoli. He was a popular figure in Kildare and established many friends.<\/p>\n<p>The funeral to Maudlins Cemetery was largely attended. Rev. Precentor Clover conducted the Burial Service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Col. Robert Harrison died of heart failure, aged seventy. He was the son of Henry Harrison (Hollywood House, Co. Down), landowner and J.P., and Letitia Harrison, grandniece of Henry Joy McCracken \u00a0and daughter of R. J. Tennent, Liberal M.P. for Belfast 1847\u201352.
