A. LAWLER, 1927"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Mr. J. A. Lawler, Athy Town Clerk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Joseph Andrew Lawler was Athy Town Clerk for over 30 years. He died aged fifty-two on 4 June 1927; his address was The Park, Athy. Joseph was the son of Andrew Lawler and Margaret Pender, born The Park, 20 December 1873; his father was the caretaker of the Park. Joseph A. Lawler was appointed Town Clerk in 1890 following the death of the previous clerk, Martin Lawler. His brother, James W. Lawler, was the assistant clerk. Joseph married Margaret Morrin in 1906.
