The book, by P. J. Casy, K. T. Cullen and J. P. Duignan, features a roll of honour recording\u00a0Irish doctors who served, were decorated, and lost their lives in WWII. Among them are ten doctors with Co. Kildare addresses.<\/p>\n<p>Capt. (RAMC) Matthew Donald Murrough Bergin, Beechgrove, Kildare Town. Killed in action 15 September 1944. John O\u2019Neill\u2019s brother Jerry is not recorded in the book.<\/p>\n<p>Col. (RAMC) Jeremiah \u2018Jerry\u2019 O\u2019Neill, Mount Offaly, Athy. POW. (India, Burma, Malaya).<\/p>\n<p>Col. Jerry O\u2019Neill had a very interesting and remarkable period as a captive of the Japanese in Malaya.
