Title: Pushing the Limits

Author: Katie McGarry

Genre: Romance, Young Adult Fiction

Review by: Chantelle, LCA Intern for Library HQ

Synopsis: Echo can’t remember the night that changed her life. The night she went from being the popular girl to being the school’s freak. Her family are determined to keep it that way. They said therapy was supposed to help. What they didn’t anticipate is Noah.

Noah is the bad boy, the dangerous boy parents don’t want hanging around their daughters. They have him stereotyped and labeled without a second glance.

So isn’t it funny that one day turns things around for the both of them? When they are thrown together for one mission and one mission only. To find the truth.

Review: Echo Emerson is your stereotypical teenage American high school student. She was a popular girl with awesome friends. She was a cheerleader.

She had a nice house, a mother and a father, a brother. She had a car. She had everything….Until that changed one fateful night.

Now she can’t recall what happened and nobody seems to be in a rush to remind her. They are of the opinion that she should remember it herself. Only her brain won’t hurry up and throw out the answers for her. So what else is she to do other than befriend the bad boy of the school?

Don’t get her wrong, Echo has no misguided ideas involving Noah Hutchins. He’s the kid who does drugs and grins alongs with his other drug buddies. She isn’t exactly keen to jump in with that crowd but somewhere along the line she learns all isn’t as it seems and Noah? Well…He’s not as bad as he’s lead you to believe.

Follow along with Echo and Noah as they tackle sordid truths and family troubles. As they battle troubled pasts and grim truths.
