Review by: Chantelle, LCA Intern for Library HQ

Synopsis: The third book in the Pride series, this title finds weddings having the strangest effect on people.

Exhibit 1: Sissy Mae waking up in a strange place after her brother Bobby Ray’s nuptials. Exhibit 2: the gunmen trying to kill Mitch.

Exhibit 3: Sissy Mae escorting a bleeding lion shifter to her Tennessee Pack’s turf for safe keeping.

It doesn’t help that Mitch’s appraising gaze makes her feel particularly special.

Review: Sissy Mae and Mitch Shaw have always been friends, brought together by their tendency to regularly annoy anybody near them. It also didn’t hurt that they were both sticklers for being the first to “start something”. .

It’s just too darn entertaining. Sissy Mae has the ability to make Mitch laugh even when the world is falling apart around him. Quite literally. After getting gunned down Sissy Mae acts fast and hauls Mitch into safety.

It’s while the two are working to survive that a long time connection finally makes sparks fly, along with bullets.

Stick around for this hilarious book rife with jokes, impossible characters that have you grinning and rolling your eyes simultaneously, as well as action-packed scenes brimming with tension.
