Synopsis: Jina Modell’s entire career is to work behind a computer screen in a comfortable, air-controlled room. Working communications for a paramilitary organisation, her life is great, the money is good, and she’s excellent at what she does. But when Jina excels at a secret aptitude test she finds her entire world tipped upside down. Suddenly she’s no longer working behind the comforts of a desk, rather she’s in hellfire itself.

The heat only becomes more intense when she finds herself face to face with team leader, Levi. He’s stubborn and resolute, and doesn’t believe Jina has what it takes to be in his team. Determination to prove herself drives her forward. As the days pass Jina finds herself drawn to Levi in ways she would’ve never imagined. But behind the scenes there’s a danger coming for the GO-team. Trouble is brewing and now the only question is, will they be ready when everything goes to hell in a handbasket?

Review: The Woman Left Behind is the second novel in the two-part series written by Linda Howard. The debut novel is Troublemaker, but both novels can be read as a standalone.

The Go-Team series is exciting, nerve wracking, amusing, and definitely worth a read. The characters are relatable and leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more. This is a genuine page turner. The novels are suitable for adult readers.

If you would like another novel much like this one I would recommend you check out the To Die For series, also written by Linda Howard.
