Synopsis: Sixteen year old Tris is forced to make a terrible choice. In a divided society where everyone is slotted into one faction, Tris doesn’t fit in.

So she makes the choice to venture out alone, determined to discover where she belongs in a world where she’s never quite belonged.

Suddenly Tris can’t trust anyone but herself and a boy she’s drawn to, like a moth to a flame.

Review:   Divergent is a Dystopian fiction that quickly draws the reader into a world dressed up to look pretty and functioning, but on the inside it’s a whole other story.

The world as we know it is broken down into sections. Five different sections based on separate strengths.

But for Beatrice she’s never felt like she belongs to one faction and one alone. She’s never been as selfless as her brother, or as kind as her mother.

She’s just been…Tris. So when it is time for her to make a choice, and decide which faction she thinks she belongs to…She chooses one nobody expected of her. Dauntless.

The road ahead is rocky and dangerous. It’s laborious and intense. It’s a slippery journey as she finds friends, discovers who she is, and learns to know her enemies as well- if not better than she knows herself.

As the reader travels through a world almost as corrupt as the real world,  we learn, as Tris herself learns,  that not everything that meets the eye is the truth.

And right by her side, watching over her like nobody else could, is a boy named Four.

Together they must fight to find the truth and work through dark, twisted fears. Side by side.
