Title: Soulmates
Author: Holly Bourne
Genre: Romance, Young Adult Fiction.
Review by: Chantelle, LCA Intern for Library HQ
Synopsis: Every now and then two people are born, they are the perfect match for one another. One could say, they are even “soulmatesâ€. But what if meeting your soulmate could very well rock the world? . . Literally.
Review: Un-requited love sucks, it’s a known fact. So when Poppy finds her soulmate it’s like the entire world quakes in their presence. Because it truly does.
Soulmates is a teen fiction book that centres around Poppy and Noah. When the two meet one night, things begin to get shaky. Their young love kicks off practically from the start. It almost feels like they were meant for one another. Well, that’s because they were. They’re soulmates. But contrary to popular belief, they don’t get the easy life just because they found one another. In fact, things just got a whole lot more complicated. What Poppy and Noah are too blind to see is that while they’re relationship sparks with hot embers, they are also heating up the earth itself. Cataclysmic reactions of massive proportions. Weather tundras, earthquakes, you name it.
Behind the scenes there are people trying to prevent the world itself from caving in. And in order to do that? They need to stop two souls destined for each other from meeting.
Soulmates is a particularly good read that will have you on edge the entire time. It’s a unique concept on the sometimes overused idea of the soul mate. I’d definitely recommend reading it.
