Review by: Chantelle, LCA Intern for Library HQ

Synopsis: The Longest Ride is a heartwarming and emotional love story that follows the lives of two couples from different generations. The first couple is Ira Levinson and his beloved wife Ruth, who is no longer with him but still very present in his memories. The second couple is Sophia Danko and Luke Collins, two young lovers who are trying to find their way in this crazy world.

Review: Nicholas Sparks expertly weaves together these two narratives, drawing parallels between the couples’ experiences and showing how love endures through time. The novel is filled with beautiful descriptions, character development, and engaging writing. The book features the struggles couples go through, the sacrifices that have to be made, and plenty more heart shattering scenes. Overall, The Longest Ride is a touching, timeless and enjoyable read that will leave readers feeling hopeful and inspired. If you’d like a novel like this one then don’t hesitate in checking it out from the library and be sure to place a request on it on our Library Catalogue.
