This tells the story of Circe, her childhood within Helios. But she is different from the other Titans. She is not powerful, like her father or as alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals, Circe discovers that she does have power – the power of witchcraft.

With this power, she can turn rivals into monsters, who can menace the gods themselves. Feeling threatened, Zeus banishes her to a deserted island. On this island, she is able to hone her craft, and helps some famous mythical beings, including the Minotaur, Daedalus and his doomed son Icarus, the murderous Medea, and of course the wily Odysseus.

But there is danger, as well for a woman who is alone, and Circe unintentionally draws the wrath of both gods and men, and she has to fight to protect those she cares about.

This is such a good book. I loved every second of it. It is an amazing story and you get to meet so many mythical figures. I loved reading about the Minotaur, Icarus and his father and Odysseus. It provides such a different outlook on what Circe did in the Odyssey. It is such an interesting story and one that is worth reading. I hope you enjoy it.
