Skill level: Easy

Materials: orange wool, brown wool, 4mm needles, wool sewing needle, stuffing

Cast on 40 stitches, and for 20 rows, knit 2, purl 2. This is known as a double ribbing stich. Once you have reached the end, cut off enough wool, so that you have enough to sew the pumpkin together.

Get your sewing needle and start sewing the stitches off the needle and then pull. This will mean that you will have a circle at the end of the pumpkin. Once you have done this, you can sew the side of the pumpkin together. Turn it inside out to cover the sewing of the side.

Now start sewing the bottom of the pumpkin, using a running stich. Once you have reached a third of the way, you can start stuffing the pumpkin. Once it’s stuffed, continue sewing till you have another circle at the top of the pumpkin. You can then add the stalk (to make the stalk, see below). To do this, you can sew it to the top of the pumpkin. You now have a pumpkin.

To make the stalk.

Cast on 5 stitches. Knit for 10 rows.

Bind off.

Fold the stalk in half and sew the 2 sides together.
