While we’re hoping the clock is running down until we can open our physical library doors once again, you might be looking at all the content we are sharing on our social media and wondering; how can I access it without a library account?

Good news! You don’t need to sign up in person or present proof of address and all expiring accounts have been extended. To sign up for a new account, head to this website https://lgma.iii.com/selfreg  and we will go through the sign up process with you here in this blog post.

There is a short form to fill out there, including name, address and email (adding your phone number is completely voluntary).

Once this has been filled in, ticking the ‘I agree to the terms & conditions and the data privacy statement’ box and click SUBMIT. If you’d like to read the privacy statement first, click on the blue writing and it will open it on a new page. You can also sign up for library related updates to your email.

Once you’ve clicked SUBMIT, this will bring you to a new page that will give you your temporary Library card number.

PLEASE save or write this somewhere as you need this number to access the online services available.

This page will also present you the option to set your pin. Click on the link given to begin. Please pick something you will remember – it’s only 4 digits. We generally advise against using something like : 0000 or 1234 or writing this down in the same place as your borrower number, but do this is you have to.

Click submit and That’s it, you’re ready to go! It may ask you to fill in a new pin after submitting as an old site requirement but you can just repeat the pin you’ve already chosen.
