Kildare County Council Library Service, with the support of Kildare’s Creative Ireland programme, seeks to award a bursary for a Reader in Residence. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people in Kildare Libraries in 2022.
Reading and literacy are at the heart of the public library service in Kildare. Kildare County Council Library Service is committed to developing the role of the library as a centre for culture and learning, with programmes and projects that meet individual and community needs. The Reader in Residence will deliver a programme of activities designed to promote literacy, storytelling and foster a habit and enjoyment of reading and library usage in children aged 5-12 and their families.
The residency will be for a period of approx. 9 months from April to December 2022 with a total award of €15,000.
Deadline is Monday 21st March at 4pm. Late applications will not be considered.
