National Heritage Week will take place during the 15th to 23rd August. This year’s theme for Nation Heritage Week is “Heritage and Education: Learning from our Heritage”. Because of the Covid-19 restrictions, this year will be different, with the Heritage Council asking communities to undertake projects that explore a topic associated with this year’s theme.

If this interests you and you would like to create a project, Kildare Libraries have many resources to help you with your project: books and other materials on local history, the Local Studies department at Newbridge and access to several online resources. Some libraries will also have links with the local history group in their area, who could also be of help to you. For more information and details about National heritage Week, visit heritageweek.ie
