Some highlights that are getting me through the long days indoors include

Science Focus

BBC Focus Magazine explains the theory behind scientific phenomena and really brings science to life. Find everything from what the tech industry is doing to help stop the spread of Coronavirus to how researching your family tree could provide the missing key in a cold case.

Plus this month’s Science Read Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez is available to download in both eAudiobook and eBook formats from BorrowBox.

Mollie Makes

A delightful look at contemporary crafts filled with interviews with professional crafters and projects that range from beginner to expert. Each issue also contains ideas for up-cycling some household items so as you clear out all those forgotten corners think – could this unloved t-shirt be my next clutch bag?

Homes and Gardens

A perfect magazine to give inspiration on any home with beautiful photography of marvellous garden-scapes to make you feel like you’re outside from the comfort of your couch.

Kitchen Garden

If you are able to access some green space this is a great hit with growing tips for fruit and vegetables as well as seasonal recipes. Also, with articles and pieces on topics such as culinary herbs there’s something for those of us with a single window box too.

Foreign Language Titles

There are a number of titles available in French, German, Italian, and Spanish including Marie Claire, Harpers’ Bazaar and Vogue. Perfect for practicing that language you’ve been learning.
