Play and Music Classes for Babies, Toddlers & Pre-Schoolers
by Gymboree Celbridge Suitable for 6 month olds to 5 year olds & their parents.
Tuesday 4th May 10am

It’s time to get your little one moving, grooving and playing with our interactive class. Let’s use some of your little one’s energy and imagination in this teacher led, parent facilitated virtual multi-sensory play and music class. This class is designed to support parents with their babies (6 months +), toddlers & pre-schoolers as we will sing and play. Children will begin to experiment with ways to interact with music, accompany a song with rhythm, and act out lyrics through movements using both gross motor and fine motor skills while activating the parts of the brain responsible for language development. A list of what will be used in each class will be sent out in advance with suggestions on how to improvise yourself. We only use readily available household items and re-imagine them as class props so nothing very complicated! Zoom Logins will be emailed before this event.

Tony the Turtle Storytime Videos – Exclusive to the TTT Vimeo Channel

Valerie Sheehan is a special education teacher and author of the ‘Tony the Turtle’ book series. Valerie started writing stories to help families with a child on the autism spectrum. The idea stemmed from the fact that there were so little resources available for parents/teachers after their child received a diagnosis of autism. The main character is a little turtle named Tony who sees and feels the world differently, each of the nine books in the series offers helpful tips and strategies to manage an everyday activity that many children may find challenging or overwhelming. Tony gives children a character to identify with, showing how it is okay to go into your shell when things get a little difficult and they also give parents the tips and hints they need to support their child during these challenges. They are an educational resource that help both parent and child simultaneously. The books are now helping families around the world navigate through these daily challenges to make sure their child’s day runs as smoothly as possible.Valerie has curated a storytime video for each of her ‘Tony the Turtle’ books and these are available exclusively on the TTT Vimeo Channel https://vimeo.com/channels/toystechnologytraining
