Naas Diplomat’s Transfer

To be Charge d’Affaires in Buenos Aires

 Mr. Sean Hayden, son of Mrs. Hayden, Shamrock House, Naas, has been recently transferred from the Irish Embassy at Washington to be Charge d’Affaires in Argentina, with headquarters in Buenos Aires.  He attended the annual Shamrock concert and dance in Buenos Aires and said that as Ireland’s representative he was proud to see such a lively and active interest being taken in things Irish, reports the Irish News Agency.

“It is heart-warming to be present at such functions as these, where the songs and dances of Ireland take their place beside those other songs and dances which form such an intimate part of the great Argentine cultural heritage,” said Mr. Hayden.
