Majority of nurses Irish

No fewer than eighty-seven of the one-hundred and seven nurses who received their hospital final certificates at the annual prize-giving at Whipps Cross Hospital, Leytonstone, London, last week were from Ireland. The newly qualified nurses include Mary Butterfield (Sister Ethelreda) The Haven, Ballitore, Co. Kildare, and Eilis Teresa Byrne (Sister Fionnuala),Ballagh, Monasterevan, Co. Kildare.
